How Loch Security collects, uses and protects your information.
Last updated: June 2026
Loch Security Inc. ("Loch Security", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's PIPEDA where applicable.
We collect only what we need to quote, install, service, and support your security system. That typically includes your name, address, email, and phone number; details about your property and the system you want; quote and order history; and, where you choose monitoring or financing, the information required to set that up. If you create a client portal account, we store your login credentials in encrypted form. We do not collect more than we need.
We use your information to prepare quotes and proposals, schedule and perform installations and service, provide monitoring and support, process payments, communicate with you about your account, and meet legal and warranty obligations. We may send you service notices and, only if you've opted in, occasional updates. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to deliver your service — for example, with a monitoring provider, a payment processor, or a financing partner you have agreed to use — and only the information those parties need. We may disclose information if required by law. Any service providers we use are expected to protect your information to a comparable standard.
We protect your information with reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption of credentials and restricted staff access. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then securely dispose of it.
You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask questions about how we handle it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If we install cameras or monitoring equipment, you are responsible for using them lawfully and respecting the privacy of others. We can advise on sensible placement, but recordings made by your system are under your control, not ours, unless a monitoring agreement says otherwise.
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The current version always lives on this page.
